The Alabama Crimson Tide have just one more thing left before they can say they've completed their spring practice schedule: the annual A-Day scrimmage that serves as practice No. 15.

This year's A-Day will have a different look and feel to it. It is the first time since 2006 that hall-of-fame head coach Nick Saban will not be patrolling the offensive backfield behind his quarterback. After Coach Saban retired in January, Kalen DeBoer took over as the head coach of the Crimson Tide. He previously coached the Washington Huskies to the College Football Playoff National Championship prior to becoming the man in charge of the Crimson Tide.

After a spring full of extra media availability, music at practice, and assistants speaking to the media, it all culminates in a change to Alabama's A-Day routine.

Under Coach Saban, the Crimson Tide used to suit up in the Crimson and White teams, with one featuring the first-team offense and second-team defense, with the other featuring the second-team offense and the first-team defense.

DeBoer is doing things a little differently. Due to a lack of depth along the offensive line and secondary, Alabama is featuring an offense versus defense scrimmage, with the offense wearing white and the defense wearing crimson. It allows for easier rotations to see how players do with specific groupings rather than being forced to split players into first-team and second-team when the depth chart may not be fully finalized yet.

This begs the question...How will the scoring work? We know what offensive scoring looks like, six points for touchdowns, one point for the extra point, and three points for a field goal. How will the defense score?

According to images provided by the University of Alabama, scoring for the game will look like:

Offense

Touchdown - 6 points
Field Goal - 3 points
Extra Point - 1 points

Defense

Takeaway - 7 points
3-and-Out - 3 points
Missed Field Goal - 2 points
Punt - 2 points

4th Down Stop

- 1-yard line to -49-yard line - 6 points
50-yard line to +26-yard line - 5 points
+25-yard line to +1-yard line: 4 points
