A wreck on I-20/59 in Tuscaloosa has injured one, snarled traffic and closed all westbound lanes of the interstate Wednesday morning.

The collision reportedly involved three tractor-trailers in the construction zone between McFarland Boulevard at Exit 73 and Interstate 359 and Exit 71.

A spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement State Troopers said one person suffered minor injuries in the wreck, but he did not believe anyone was seriously hurt or killed.

The Trooper also said the accident left a pole of some kind across the westbound lanes of the highway, which has caused emergency crews to close the interstate while the debris and trucks are cleared.

Drivers in the area should seek an alternate route to travel west as traffic is already nightmarish in the area.
