New Goodwill Tuscaloosa Location Hosting Massive Hiring Event This Week
Alabama Goodwill Industries' first Tuscaloosa store is set to open early next year, and in preparation the organization is hosting a massive hiring event in town.
The company is looking to hire 23 part-time positions, each starting at $15 per hour. These employees will fill the back and front of the store, as well as work in the donation center. Any and all Tuscaloosa residents in need of steady work are encouraged to attend.

"The Tuscaloosa community has been so welcoming and supportive of our mission, and we are thrilled to be expanding here," said Amanda Fort, VP of Organization Development and Mission Advancement. "We anticipate this new store and donation site to open in early 2022."
The event will take place Tuesday December 21 and Wednesday December 22 at the future site of the Tuscaloosa store: 1140 Veterans Memorial Parkway. No appointments are necessary.
"We encourage anyone in need of work to come and see what we're all about," Ford said. "Our mission is rooted in providing opportunities and employment to all Alabamians, especially those overcoming various barriers to employment."
