A home was badly damaged and a person suffered minor injuries during a fully involved house fire in north Tuscaloosa County Tuesday morning.

Holly Whigham, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue Service, told the Thread that they received calls from the Carroll's Creek volunteer Fire Department and the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office asking for assistance fighting a fire on Old Fayette Road.

The house affected is in northern Tuscaloosa County west of Highway 43 and the town of Samantha.

The calls came in around 6:30 Tuesday morning, and Whigham said when TFR arrived the house had become fully involved in the fire.

At 7:45 Tuesday morning, Whigham told the Thread the blaze had been brought under control and one person suffered minor injuries because of the fire.
