A local woman was killed on Friday in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash outside of Tuscaloosa, Alabama State Troopers said Saturday.

Corporal Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Troopers in West Alabama, said the victim was 47-year-old Alisa M. Lamay, who was riding a 2019 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle.

King said Lamay was on Interstate 59 four miles south of the Tuscaloosa city limits when she left the roadway and struck a guardrail.

She was airlifted to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital in Birmingham, where police say she succumbed to injuries and was pronounced dead.

No other information was available on Saturday morning.
