After 236 days, 5,664 hours and just shy of 340,000 minutes, Alabama football will be back on Sept. 3.

There will be some differences for fans who plan to attend games in person.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of the Crimson Tide's inaugural game with the Utah State Aggies:

Alcohol

After months of back-and-forth between the city of Tuscaloosa and the University of Alabama, the green light was finally given for the sale of alcohol inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. The season's opening game will mark the first time that alcohol has been sold at a UA football game.

The majority of concessions inside the stadium will sell beer and wine for the first three quarters of every game. In addition to the new stock of booze, the stadium will be fitted with 150 new recycling containers for fans to recycle their beer cans.

No More Cash

All Alabama sporting events will now be cashless starting with Alabama football.

For fans who bring paper money instead of plastic, there will be a workaround. Guests with cash will have the ability to exchange money for a Fancard in $20 increments. These cards are preloaded Mastercards with no activation fees and can even be used outside the stadium.

Mobile Ticketing

Since 2020, parking and ticketing and Bryant-Denny has been all mobile. Things will be no different in 2022. Fans are encouraged to download their tickets before they arrive at the game to avoid any delays caused by connection. Mobile tickets are also required to be on a smartphone and printed tickets will no longer be accepted.

Fans who can not make it to the game will now be able to utilize their phone contacts when transferring tickets on the Alabama Crimson Tide mobile app.
