A Duncanville man was killed in a single-vehicle wreck on U.S. 82 Saturday afternoon, officials have confirmed.

The crash occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. when James Lee Johnson, 62, was traveling along U.S. 82 near the 59 mile marker. His 2000 Jeep Cherokee left the roadway and overturned.

Johnson was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the car. Investigators pronounced him dead at the scene.

The crash took place roughly seven miles east of Tuscaloosa, in Tuscaloosa County.

Nothing further is available at this time as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
