The city of Northport will soon welcome its newest restaurant, Dos Amigos Mexican Grill, to the Shoppes of Bristol Park.

Northport City Council President Jeff Hogg took to Facebook Wednesday to make the announcement, the latest in a long line of new restaurant and retail developments for the city.

"Not every business that comes to our City is specifically recruited by our Retail Committee," Hogg said. "However some see the potential in our City and come without being asked."

"I think that says a lot about the environment of being business friendly and feeling like their specific business could be beneficial for our residents," Hogg said.

Hogg told The Thread that at this time, he's not aware of a concrete opening date. However the Mexican restaurant has already begun the process of acquiring its alcohol license, meaning an opening shouldn't be too far off.
