The Northside Rams (5-1, 3-1) were scheduled to play the Curry Yellow Jackets (0-6, 0-3) in a Class 4A Region 5 contest on Thursday, Oct. 8. The matchup has now been cancelled by Curry due to COVID-19.

The game was supposed to be Northside's Homecoming, some of the festivities have been altered to the final home game against Sipsey Valley on Oct. 30. The school will still hold its pep rally and Homecoming Dance on Friday as previously scheduled, the court will be presented at halftime of the final home game.

The game was originally scheduled for this Friday but was altered due to Hurricane Delta to Thursday. Curry has had a COVID-19 outbreak and had to cancel and therefore forfeit the game.

All of the Tuscaloosa area games have been moved to Thursday night due to Hurricane Delta. Schools have all adjusted in an attempt to play their games in better conditions.

The Rams have one more region game remaining against Oak Grove on the road next week. Currently Northside has the second best region record behind the Gordo Greenwave.

Northside will then conclude its season with two non-region matchups, on the road at Hale County High School and hosting Sipsey Valley in what will be head coach Chris Hilliker's final regular season game before retirement.
