The news comes only a year after Cox's announcement as President for the college, following the removal of former president, Brad Newman.

The statement did not reveal the exact date that Cox would resign, but noted that an official search for the new president will begin on Tuesday, June 20.

Cox's previous experience includes over 30 years in administration for K-12 and higher education. Additionally, he has served as an interim president for multiple schools, as well as a position at the ACCS itself.

The statement from the ACCS said that Cox would be taking a position at the organization. He will be serving as Vice Chancellor of Instruction, Research and Development as soon as he resigns from his role as President in the early fall.

A press conference will be held on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. to discuss the college's plans moving forward. The conference will be open to the public.
