COVID-19 Concerns Cancel UA High School Honor Band Festival

The University of Alabama's 35th annual High School Honor Band Festival has been cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns.

The announcement was made by the University of Alabama Bands page on Facebook Monday morning, stating that the decision to cancel the event was made out of an abundance of caution.

"We do not want to put any of our guests or our own students at risk," the post stated.

The 35th annual High School Honor Band Festival was originally scheduled for February 4-7, 2021. The University of Alabama Bands says it hopes to resume its events in the 2021-2022 academic year.
