Christine H. Montgomery (October 2, 1927 – March 18, 2022)

Christine H. Montgomery, age 94 of Tuscaloosa, passed away March 18, 2022, at Glen Haven Health and Rehab. Her family will hold a private graveside with Magnolia Chapel South directing.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Mervil Montgomery, parents; James and Lillian Hopper, sisters; Sara Seale, Evelyn Rushing, brother; Charles Hopper, step-mother; Emma Hopper and grandson; Scott Montgomery.

Survivors include her daughter; Diane Batchelor (Art), son; David Montgomery (Ann), grandchildren; Mark, Todd and Kristin, and great-grandchildren; Justin, Dillan, Amine, Zak, and Hunter, and her niece Debbie Strickland (Ellis).

Christine was a loving and caring soul that cherished and loved her family and Lord. She loved cooking and caring for her family. Our loss is Heaven's gain.

Pallbearers will be David Montgomery, Mark Montgomery, Todd Batchelor, Dillan Montgomery, Ellis Strickland, and Matt Strickland. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Larry Skelton and Staff, West Alabama Hospice, Glen Haven Nurses and Staff, Taylorville Baptist Church, and friends and neighbors.
