A suspect is in custody after a Monday afternoon shooting in central Tuscaloosa left a man with non-life-threatening injuries, police told the Thread.

Captain Marty Sellers, the commander of the multi-agency Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said they were called to a shooting scene at an apartment complex near the intersection of Hargrove Road and 10th Avenue.

A male there was shot and suffered injuries, which Sellers said were not life-threatening.

Tuscaloosa Police officers and the VCU say they have a possible suspect in custody.
