Captain D’s “O-Fish-ally” Reopens on Tuscaloosa’s Skyland Boulevard After Devastating Fire
A fast food favorite on Tuscaloosa's Skyland Boulevard is "o-fish-ally" renovated and reopened after a devastating structure fire in March 2022.
The Captain D's on Skyland closed last year after a grease fire substantially damaged the building.
No one was injured in the incident, but the popular restaurant had to close to make repairs and renovations.
Now, nearly a year after the building was burned, Captain D's is has reopened and celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama.
The Skyland location first opened in March 2016 but has been closed since the fire last March.
The restaurant is open again seven days a week, opening at 10:30 a.m. daily and closing at 10 p.m., except on Fridays and Saturdays when the location will remain open until 11 p.m.
