California Woman Killed, Passenger Hurt in Bibb County ATV Crash Sunday
A California woman was killed Sunday afternoon in an ATV accident in Bibb County that also left a New York man injured and hospitalized.
Corporal Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's State Troopers, said the crash took place around 4:30 p.m. Sunday on Lawley Junction Road in southern Bibb County.
King said 31-year-old Zelina R. Rosales was driving a 2016 Can-Am Commander side-by-side ATV when she left the roadway and struck a ditch.
King said Rosales, who lived in San Diego, California, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
A 25-year-old passenger from New York was injured and transported to Bibb Medical Center in Centreville for medical treatment.
No other information was available Monday morning and King said Troopers ALEA's Highway Patrol Division will continue to investigate the fatal crash.
