Burlington Coat Factory Hiring Dozens As Closed Tuscaloosa Bed Bath & Beyond Transforms
Burlington Coat Factory is looking to hire dozens of workers to man the new store they're developing in Tuscaloosa's Shoppes of Legacy Park, which will replace the now-closed Bed Bath & Beyond there.
Change in the shopping center has been inevitable since the massive home goods retailer declared bankruptcy in April and Burlington Coat Factory announced plans in June to take over around 50 former Bed Bath & Beyond stores, including Tuscaloosa's.
The BB&B opened as an original anchor of the shopping center, developed at the intersection of Tuscaloosa's McFarland Boulevard and 15th Street after the Cedar Crest neighborhood that once stood there was destroyed by the catastrophic April 27th, 2011 tornado.
They permanently closed this summer, and contractors are working now to paint the building Burlington red and get the new big-box store open.
The company is hiring for a number of positions at the new Tuscaloosa store, including managers, supervisors, stockers, sales associates and more - learn more at their hiring website here.
No word yet on when the work will be finished and the new megastore will open - stay connected to the Tuscaloosa Thread for more details as they become available.
