Body Found in Car at Northport Walmart Sunday, Investigation Underway
The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is investigating after a body was discovered at the Walmart in Northport Sunday afternoon.
Keith Carpenter, the assistant chief of the Northport Police Department, told the Thread that their dispatchers got a call just after 4 p.m. about a potentially deceased person at the Walmart at 5710 McFarland Boulevard.

Officers responded and Carpenter said the reports were accurate and an individual was found dead in a vehicle in the parking lot.
He did not have information on the age, gender or identity of the person who was found.
The case was turned over to the Tuscaloosa VCU, which investigates all deaths outside of a hospital setting in Tuscaloosa County.
