A Tuscaloosa County man was arrested Wednesday and charged with 10 felonies related to child pornography at the end of an investigation led by the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force.

In a press release sent by a Tuscaloosa Police Department spokesperson, task force commander Captain Phil Simpson said his agents worked with assistance from the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit’s sexual assault division, the TPD Cyber Intelligence division, the Alabama Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the 25th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office and the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

At the end of their joint investigation, officers gathered enough evidence to execute a search warrant on the residence of James Marshall Green, a 29-year-old man living in Berry.

After the warrant was served, officers charged Green with nine counts of possession of child sex abuse material and one count of the dissemination of child sex abuse material.

The man was booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail Wednesday, where his bond was set at $165,000.

The West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force is made up of officers with the Northport Police Department, TPD and the University of Alabama Police Department.
