DC started in radio in 1988 right here in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He partnered with Steve Shannon and thus began the successful “Steve & DC Show” setting ratings records in both Tuscaloosa and St. Louis. The show was also nationally syndicated in 1996 and was heard in nearly 50 cities in the USA. DC also has a background in music, nominated for a Grammy award for co-writing the #1 smash “The Christmas Shoes” in 2003. DC has four children, two boys and two girls, and loves Alabama and Dallas Cowboys football.

Local West Alabama law enforcement agencies are closing out 2023 with another push to recruit and hire for multiple positions. The Tuscaloosa Thread has already reported on the efforts to hire officers to help reverse the issue of the Tuscaloosa Police Department being understaffed in 2023. As we wrap up the year, the TPD is trying to encourage experienced officers and recruits to join the force in 2024.
