Two men were killed in Aliceville, Alabama Saturday and the man police believe is responsible for the killing is in custody.

Pickens County District Attorney Andy Hamlin confirmed to The Tuscaloosa Thread that the Pickens County Sheriff's Office and the DA have been on the scene of a double homicide for most of the day Saturday.

He said the killings took place off of Franconia Road in Aliceville.

Hamlin said two Black men were dead on the scene and a suspect is in police custody, but he did not share the identities of the victims or the suspect.

No further details were available Saturday night, but Hamlin said either his agency or the sheriff's office will share more information soon.
