ALDOT To Host Public Meeting for SR-215 in Cottondale
Tuscaloosa, Ala. - The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will host a public meeting in a come-and-go style to discuss a potential project coming to the Cottondale community along SR-215, also known as University Boulevard.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 18 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Church of Judah International. Members of the public can ask questions and view exhibits about the project.
The project is expected to improve traffic flow and safety at the intersection of University Boulevard, Buttermilk Road, and US-11 in Cottondale. ALDOT is planning to build a T-intersection with a traffic signal while reconfiguring Buttermilk Road. ALDOT also plans to modify lane configurations to allow for more efficient roadway access.
The project may include changes to driveways, intersections, turn lanes, and medians. Efficient traffic movement and safe access to businesses and side streets are among the goals of this project.
The changes are expected to accommodate over 16,000 vehicles that use this road daily and provide additional support for interstate traffic.
Church of Jidah International is located at 6835 University Boulevard East in Cottondale.
