Suspects in Custody After Fatal Sunday Shooting in East Tuscaloosa
Police have people in custody after a shooting reportedly killed a man in East Tuscaloosa Sunday afternoon.
Captain Marty Sellers, the assistant commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, alerted local media to the shooting at around 5:15 p.m.

Seller said the shooting took place within Tuscaloosa City limits in the 600 block of East 30th Avenue..
One man is reportedly dead, and seller said police have suspects in custody.

In an 8 p.m. update, Sellers said there is some evidence to suggest the fatal shooting was an act of self-defense. The VCU will continue their investigation to establish the facts of the case and release more details later.
