The Southeastern Conference announced conference matchups for the 2022-23 women’s basketball season on Wednesday which revealed some intriguing matchups for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The Tide’s sixteen-game conference schedule features eight home games and eight away games.

Alabama will host Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Missouri, South Carolina, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt. Three of these opponents ranked in the top four of the conference last season including the defending national champions, South Carolina.

Alabama went 3-5 at home in conference play during the 2021-22 season, picking up wins over Auburn, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.

The Tide will travel to Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, and Tennessee.

Alabama will once again play Auburn twice after sweeping the Tigers in last year’s regular season series. The Tide will also play Ole Miss and Missouri twice.

Alabama ranked eleventh in the SEC last year, finishing with a 6-10 record in conference play. The Tide picked up two additional conference wins over Auburn and Georgia in the SEC Tournament.

Many top performers for the Tide will be back including All-SEC Second team honoree Brittany Davis. In addition to leading the team in scoring, Davis ranked fourth in the SEC in points per game (17.7).

JaMya Mingo-Young also made an impact in her first year at the Capstone, ranking fourth in steals per game (2.4) in the SEC.
