Alabama Starting Linebacker Returning For Senior Season
The Alabama Crimson Tide's 2021 season ended with a disappointing loss to the Georgia Bulldogs in the national championship game and now the players are making decisions for their future in football.
Alabama's outstanding junior inside linebacker Henry To'o To'o took to Instagram to announce that he would be returning to The Capstone for his senior season in 2022. To'o To'o, a transfer from the University of Tennessee, was rated as a potential day two NFL Draft pick.
The transfer was highly impactful for the Crimson Tide having a familiarity with the defensive scheme. He tallied 112 tackles, with eight for a loss and forced a fumble while also being effective in pass coverage while earning second team All-SEC honors.
To'o To'o's return guarantees Alabama three of its four starting linebackers returning for 2022. All eyes turn to Christian Harris who is expected to be a late first round early second round pick.
Alabama will have Deonte Lawson, Kendrick Blackshire, Ian Jackson and Shawn Murphy competing to be that "next man up".
No matter if Harris leaves, To'o To'o's return is huge for next season's defense as he will be able to lead the defense and call the plays as he did in 2022.
