Alabama Signs In-State Four-Star Wideout

Kobe Prentice, four-star wide receiver and top-150 player in the nation, according to 247Sports, officially signed with the Crimson Tide on Wednesday, cementing his opportunity to play among some of college football's best.

The 5-foot-10, 171 lb. wideout completely dominated his senior season, earning his four-star ranking. A former Maryland commit that instead opted for the Crimson Tide in July, Prentice entered his final year as a three-star recruit, but quickly gained notoriety with not only his Bama connection but his excellent play on the field.

Through eleven games, Prentice racked up nearly 1,300 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns, helping his team finish with 7-4 record and was named first team all-county.

Possessing a unique blend of speed and physicality for his size, the future Crimson Tide star was a nightmare for opposing cornerbacks in high school and could even compete for playing time as a freshman.

With Alabama set to lose stars like Jameson Williams and potentially John Metchie if he decides to move on to the NFL, the favorite targets for Bryce Young could look a lot different next year. No matter who steps up this season for Alabama, it is sure to be a very highly touted recruit.
