Alabama’s Kaitlan Collins Holds Her Ground Against Trump Barbs
University of Alabama graduate, Cable News Network (CNN) White House reporter and news host Kaitlan Collins continues to irritate President Trump, even when she is not asking questions. The 34-year-old Prattville native was watching Wednesday as another reporter asked Trump a question about the justice department dropping the 'Anti-Weaponization Fund'. As he began his reply, he interrupted himself and attacked Collins, once again.
Pointing at Collins, Trump told the press corps assembled in the Oval Office for his signing of an executive order, "I never see a smile on her face," a charge he has repeated a number of times. He added, "I see her standing there with hatred in her eyes."
The president didn't stop there, "CNN's a very corrupt organizations, with a corrupt reporter standing right there, never smiles," Trump stated, pointing directly at Collins. "She never, a young beautiful woman, never smiles. I never see a smile on her face. I see her standing there with hated in her eyes," he repeated.
Instead of returning to answering the other reporters question, Trump piled on the criticism of Collins. He told reporters and a national TV audience that Collins has hatred because, "...we have borders, because we have a strong military, because we cut our taxes, because we do things that everybody wanted."

At that point Collins did ask about the $1.7 billion dollar fund that would have been used to compensate his allies who he claims were unfairly targeted by the Biden Administration. She wanted to know how he had planned to use the money.
"i'd have to ask the lawyers, I don't know," he replied before taking another shot at the former Alpha Phi sorority member. "I thought that was the greatest thing, because people like you have abused our people so badly, the fake news like CNN, like The New York Times and like other have abused our people."
As another reporter attempt to ask another question Trump told them to, "Be quite" as he continued his tirade against Collins. Getting even more personal, he told her she should be ashamed of herself. "She used to be a conservative from Alabama, can you believe it?"
It was the former employee of conservative media commentator Tucker Carlson got the last word. "I'm still from Alabama," she replied.
Collins graduated from The University of Alabama in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and journalism.
