Alabama punter Jack Martin announced that he would be entering the transfer portal on Monday.

"I would like to thank The University of Alabama for the opportunity they have given me," said Martin in a statement issued on social media. "I have officially entered my name in the transfer portal as a graduate transfer with 2 years of eligibility."

The three-star prospect from Northview High School was a top-50 kicker in the class of 2019.

Martin spent his first season at Troy where he handled all but seven kickoffs, averaging 53.5 yards per kick and totaling 23 touchbacks.

The Dothan, Ala. native transferred to Alabama in 2021 and saw action in four games in his first season at the Capstone. Martin recorded five kickoffs for 297 yards, with three of those being touchbacks. Martin also recorded a 29-yard field goal, his only field goal attempt of the season, against New Mexico State.

This season, Martin has appeared in two games where he has recorded five kickoffs for a total of 284 yards.

Martin will graduate from the Capstone in December and move on to his next destination with two years of eligibility left.
