Alabama players Bryce Young and Will Anderson spoke to the media on Saturday night, following the 32-31 overtime loss at LSU.

Young opened with his overall thoughts on the game and how the team looks to move forward.

"Obviously this isn't the outcome we want but I'm super proud of our team. I love all of my teammates, these are guys that are my brothers so obviously this is tough," said Young. "I always stand with my team and we're going to work to get better, but there's no group I'd rather be with."

The former Heisman winner also spoke on bad field position and his individual performance.

"Whatever the field position is, it's on us to execute and move the ball down the field," said Young. "First and foremost it's on me to play better and do better. As a player and a leader, I have to be better. I wasn't that today and you know that's on me and [with] the field position stuff, we put our defense in a lot of bad spots."

Anderson gave his thoughts on the defense's overall performance and things that held them back.

"I don't think we were locked in to what the play calling was, I kind of think that we got kind of scattered a little bit. A lot of stuff was happening, a lot of penalties and things like that was taking away the focus of what coach was calling," said Anderson. "We had to pick guys up, some guys had heads down, but they fought hard, defense fought hard, offense came back and did a really good job."

Anderson also noted the shortcomings for the Alabama program and the goals going forward for the team.

"We gotta get rid of all the individual stuff," said Anderson. "Make it a team effort, make sure that everybody is locked in, make sure that everybody has two feet in, make sure they're keeping Alabama football the main thing while they are here and not think about the future, so I think that's the message that I'm going to try to get to the team this week."

The leaders of this Alabama squad will surely look to use this as motivation to finish the year strong with three games left in the regular season.
