The Alabama Crimson Tide lands its second prospect in the 2023 class this week out of the Lonestar State. 4-star wide receiver Jalen Hale out of Longview, TX., announced he would be committing to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
The 6-foot-1, 185 pound prospect becomes Alabama's third wide receiver in the 2023 class, joining Malik Benson and Cole Adams. Hale is considered the No. 9 receiver in the class and the No. 10 overall prospect in the state of Texas by the 247Sports Composite.
He took official visits to Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Texas A&M and Southern Cal.
Hale was recruited to Tuscaloosa by wide receivers coach Holmon Wiggins and ultimately chose Alabama over the Texas Longhorns among several other schools.
In three high school seasons he's tallied eye-popping numbers with 96 receptions for 2017 yards and 27 touchdowns.
His Longview Lobos are currently 4-0 in his senior year and he's hauled in 14 receptions for 291 yards and 4 touchdowns.
He was originally offered a scholarship by the Crimson Tide in March 2021 and he took an official visit for the Utah State weekend on Sept. 3.
Hale is a multi-sport athlete for Longview, competing in basketball and track and field also. He ran a 22.63 200-meter dash and long-jumped 22-5 as a junior.
Alabama is now up to 23 members of the 2023 class and is firmly in the No. 1 overall position according to all the major recruiting services.
