The Alabama Crimson Tide basketball team is in full roster management mode as head coach Nate Oats continues to work in the transfer portal. The Tide lost five scholarship players to the transfer portal at the conclusion of the season and three others to graduation or the NBA Draft.

Oats and his coaching staff have already secured the No. 3 recruiting class in the nation out of high school and have secured the commitment of Ohio-transfer and Alabama-native Mark Sears.

After Jahvon Quinerly recently announced he would be returning to Alabama for another season the Crimson Tide are left with just two remaining scholarships to fill for the upcoming 2022-23 season.

According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports the Alabama basketball program will host Oregon State guard Jarod Lucas at The Capstone on Tuesday.

Lucas is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard out of Hacienda Heights, California. He's played significant minutes for the Beavers for the last three seasons and started all 31 games of the 2021-22 season.

His resume reads exactly what Oats and his staff are looking for. Lucas averaged 13.5 points per game while shooting 41% from the floor this past season. He's been an excellent free-throw shooter and 3-point shooter during his time in college, shooting 88% and 38% respectively over the course of three seasons.

The Oregon State Beavers were 38-26 during Lucas' first two seasons but fell on hard times in 2021-22, managing a measly 3-28 record and going winless in Pac-12 conference play.
