The 6-foot-3 pitcher helped lead the Hazel Green High School baseball team to an area championship, before falling to Hartselle in the final four.

Hunter also competed in the 2022 Prep Baseball Report Future Games, as a member of Team Alabama. Hunter recorded a pair of strikeouts in Team Alabama’s 5-1 win over Team Canada.
