Each day counting down to Alabama's Week 1 matchup with Utah State, I will highlight one former player whose jersey number coincides with the amount of days until the game. In honor of kickoff being just 65 days away, let's take a look at the career of former Alabama guard Chance Warmack.

Chance Warmack joined the Crimson Tide in 2009 as a three-star prospect out of Westlake High School in Atlanta. Ranked as the 20th offensive guard in the nation by Rivals, Warmack chose the Crimson Tide over the likes of Auburn, Florida, Georgia and more.

In his freshman season, Warmack would serve as the backup to Barrett Jones, appearing in five games. As a sophomore in 2010, the 6-foot-2, 330 lb. behemoth took over as a starter, replacing Mike Johnson at left guard, and played all 13 games.

In Warmack's junior season, the Crimson Tide went 12-1 and defeated LSU in New Orleans for its 14th national championship and the guard earned All-SEC second team honors for his contributions.

Despite some love for Warmack as a prospect in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Atlanta native opted to return for his senior season at the Capstone and helped lead Alabama to another national title. The Crimson Tide toppled the outmatched Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 21-0, and Warmack earned both All-American and All-SEC honors for his incredible season.

Finally, in 2013, Warmack entered the NFL Draft where he was selected 10th overall to the Tennessee Titans.

The big-bodied guard spent four seasons in Tennessee, and before entering his contract year, Warmack's fifth-year option was declined. As a free agent, Warmack signed a one-year deal with the Eagles in 2017, and was a key depth piece on their Super Bowl winning team, appearing in over 10 games.

The former Alabama star spent another season in Philadelphia, but was not extended following a disappointing 9-7 record.

After not signing with a team for all of 2019, Warmack joined the Seattle Seahawks ahead of the 2020 season, but opted out due to concerns regarding COVID-19. Seattle released Warmack ahead of 2021, and the guard has not signed with another team since.
