Snow Much Fun! PARA Announces Details of West Alabama Christmas Parade
Registration is open for the 49th Annual West Alabama Christmas Parade, which now has a date and theme, the Tuscaloosa County Park and Recreation Authority announced on Thursday.
Each year, it draws thousands of holiday revelers and a PARA spokesperson said the beloved regional tradition will return on Monday, December 8th, in the heart of downtown Tuscaloosa, kicking off at the county courthouse on Greensboro Avenue after a tree-lighting ceremony.

This year, the theme will be "Snow Much Fun," and nominations are now being accepted for who will lead the parade as its Grand Marshals. Submissions will be taken through 5 p.m. on Friday, October 17.
Registration to participate in the parade or be one of its sponsors opened today, September 4th, and will run through Friday, November 14.
Anyone who is to participate must attend a mandatory participant meeting on Tuesday, November 18th at the Belk Activity Center, which is scheduled to start at 5:45 p.m.
