The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is searching for information after an overnight shooting in a residential area of West Tuscaloosa.

Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the VCU, said investigators were called to the 3600 Block of 33rd Avenue in Tuscaloosa off Martin Luther King Boulevard on reports of a shooting around midnight.

Kennedy said police found one male shot with non-lifethreatening injuries.

The VCU is investigating the shooting and had no additional details as of Wednesday afternoon.
