The Alabama Department of Public Health reported Friday that Tuscaloosa County School System ranks as the district with the second highest rate of COVID-19 cases in the state.
The University of Alabama announced that starting November 5, those on campus who are fully vaccinated will not be required to wear face coverings in most on-campus facilities.
The University of Alabama System announced Friday that all employees at its campuses will be required to receive the COVID-19 vaccine under orders from federal government. This includes all employees at The University of Alabama.
The news was shared to a GoFundMe page that was originally started on Aug. 27 to help pay for Tristan's funeral bills after she contracted the virus and died.
"Younger and younger people are dying from this through this recent surge in the pandemic," DCH COO Paul Betz said. "It's really, really kind of scary."
Alabama head football coach Nick Saban recently announced that his program is one player short of 100% vaccinated. Now Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne has take to Twitter to announce to the public that across all programs the Tide is over 90% vaccinated to begin the 2021-22 year.
